SO Captures Photography Business Booking and Cancellation Policy
1. Booking and Deposit:
- To secure your booking date, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total package price is required at the time of booking. This deposit will be applied towards the final cost of your photography session.
- Bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Dates will only be reserved upon receipt of the deposit and a signed contract.
2. Payment Schedule:
- The remaining balance of the photography package is due no later than 14 days before the scheduled session date.
- Payments can be made via Zelle, Credit Card,Debit card, Paypal, Cash and GoDaddy Payments.
3. Cancellation by Client:
- If the client cancels the booking more than 30 days before the scheduled session date, any payments made beyond the initial deposit will be fully refunded.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the session date will result in the forfeiture of the deposit. If full payment has been made, 50% of the total package price (excluding the deposit) will be refunded.
- Cancellations within 14 days of the session date will not be eligible for a refund.
4. Rescheduling:
- Clients may reschedule their session once, subject to availability, provided that notice is given at least 14 days before the originally scheduled date. The deposit will be transferred to the new date.
- Rescheduling within 14 days of the session date will require an additional fee of 20% of the total package price to cover booked time and lost opportunities.
5. Cancellation by Photographer:
- In the unlikely event that the photographer must cancel the booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, emergency), the client will be offered the choice of rescheduling to a new date or receiving a full refund of all payments made, including the deposit.
- The photographer will also offer recommendations for alternative photographers, if desired.
6. Force Majeure:
- In cases of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions) that prevent the session from taking place as scheduled, both parties will work together to reschedule to a new date without any additional fees.
- If rescheduling is not possible, the client will receive a full refund.
7. Late Payments:
- Late payments beyond the due dates outlined above will incur a late fee of $25 per week until the full payment is received.
- Non-payment by the due date without prior arrangement may result in cancellation of the booking by the photographer, and the deposit will not be refunded.
8. Agreement:
- This policy forms part of the contract between the photographer and the client. By paying the deposit, the client agrees to the terms outlined herein.
